SALON POLICY
COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
At Professionails and Beauty, we’re committed to delivering exceptional service to all our clients. However, if, on a rare occasion, you’re not entirely satisfied with your treatment, please inform us before leaving the salon. We value both positive and constructive feedback, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you believe we can enhance your experience. We prefer to address any concerns immediately to ensure your satisfaction. If you’ve already left the salon and wish to provide feedback, you can do so by emailing us at info@professionailsandbeauty.co.uk. We aim to respond to all emails within 24 to 48 hours.
APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION / NO SHOWS
To optimise our scheduling and accommodate other clients, we kindly request that you cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. As a small business, empty slots are detrimental to our operations, which is why we utilise reminder emails and text messages. If you’re unable to attend your appointment, please notify us at your earliest convenience by phone, email, or by replying to the reminder text. Missing three or more appointments or failing to cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice will necessitate a non-refundable deposit to secure future appointments.
ARRIVAL TIME
For treatments requiring preparation, such as nail tips or gel removal, please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment. For all other appointments, we recommend arriving 10 minutes early to accommodate parking and select your preferred paint colours from our charts.
LATE ARRIVAL
Our scheduling is carefully managed to ensure adequate time for each treatment. If you anticipate being late, please inform us as soon as possible, or arrive as promptly as safety allows. Lateness exceeding 15 minutes may require rescheduling or the adjustment of services to maintain our clients’ scheduled appointments on time.
DEPOSITS
Treatment Deposits: Some treatments necessitate a £10 non-refundable deposit to confirm your appointment. You can reschedule the appointment once without forfeiting the deposit, provided the request is made at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time. Failure to attend the second appointment will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
Semi-Permanent Makeup Deposits: For makeup appointments, a non-refundable deposit of £50 is required. Rescheduling is permitted once without losing the deposit if requested at least 48 hours before the appointment. Missing the second appointment will result in the deposit being forfeited.
Appointment Deposits: If an appointment is cancelled late or missed three times, a non-refundable deposit of £10 will be required to secure future appointments. This deposit must be paid within 1 hour of booking to prevent automatic cancellation of the appointment.
REFUNDS
We take great care to ensure our services are consistent and satisfactory. If you’re dissatisfied with your nails, please notify us before payment, and we’ll make necessary adjustments or removals to your satisfaction. No refunds will be provided after leaving the salon. In cases of product defects leading to nail enhancement issues, please email photos to info@professionailsandbeauty.co.uk, and a manager will assist in resolving the matter. Refunds are granted at our discretion for application or product faults.
For Semi-Permanent Makeup treatments, refunds cannot be offered due to the almost permanent nature of the work. Touch-ups and adjustments can be scheduled to achieve the desired results.
HEALTH CONDITIONS AND EXTRA SUPPORT
Please inform us of any special needs, medical conditions, pregnancy, injuries, allergies, or disabilities before your treatment. This will help us tailor our services to provide the best customer experience and results.
If you have a potentially contagious condition on your hands or feet or open or infected wounds, treatment cannot be provided until these conditions have cleared up. Please notify us before your treatment so we can advise you on whether treatments can be safely performed.
CHILDREN
While we love children, unsupervised children in the salon can be disruptive and pose safety risks. We use products that can be harmful if ingested or applied to unprotected skin. Please arrange for young children to be supervised by a sitter during your appointment. Children under 15 should be accompanied by a responsible adult, and those under 16 require parental consent for nail treatments.
GUARANTEE
Nail extensions, dipping powder, and gel polish manicures are guaranteed for up to 7 days after your appointment (excluding breakages). If you encounter any issues within this period, please email us a photo for a free repair. Repairs after 7 days for breakages, tears, and corner breaks will incur charges. Proper aftercare ensures your nails look beautiful for weeks, but signs of wear are expected after 2 weeks. Regular nail polish treatments are not guaranteed.

For the safety of both clients and staff, our premises are monitored by digital video surveillance.
